Dr. Senthil N. Arun
Dr. Arun has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics through his commitment to academics and clinic practice of dentistry over the years. Dr. Arun hails from India and he earned a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Ragas Dental Collage, Chennai, India. He excelled in his class and won several awards while in dental school. Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Arun received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with distinction from the Medical College of Georgia (now known as Augusta University) in Augusta, GA.
To further his education and knowledge, he graduated with high honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He also completed a specialized post-graduate certification in orthodontics as well as earned a Master of Science (MSD) degree in dentistry from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Arun embraces life-long learning by attending meetings and continuing education courses in orthodontics and dentistry at both national and international levels.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Arun is a published author and an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and Midwestern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Arun enjoys giving back to the Jefferson City community through participation in many different local and national charitable programs, including Smiles Change Lives and organized candy buy-back program to aid U.S. troops, first responders, veterans and military families.
When not in the office, Dr. Arun enjoys reading books of all genres, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He has a great interest in electronic gadgets and is very excited to keep his office and himself up to date with technology. Dr. Arun is married to Aarti Arun, dental hygienist and blessed with two boys - Tejas, 11 and Shreyas, 4.
